Rathbone Market - Phase 3

The major regeneration of Rathbone Market, in the London Borough of Newham, kicked off with the first phase of the construction awarded to Sisk followed by consecutive phases 2 and 3.

Millcroft scaffolding was awarded the Phase 3 scaffolding contract, which consisted of access scaffolds for Brickwork and adaptions for the succeeding trades.

Phase 3 of the development was to provide a further 216 homes, with blocks ranging from 4-6 storeys, situated around a communal garden with a mature oak tree and a secure gated entrance via the public square.

The job proved to be very challenging due to the very small footprint of the site and logistics of the job. During striking of the scaffold Millcroft removed around 100 tones of equipment per week with daily trailer swaps.

Millcroft won several Health and Safety awards during the contract and a number of Green cards were issued throughout the project for the safety and attitude of our workforce.
