Going for gold: Millcroft wins RoSPA accolade for fleet safety

August 2022

We’re delighted to have been awarded a 10th consecutive RoSPA Fleet Safety Gold Award; an internationally-recognised accolade for exceptional management of occupational road risk.

The RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest-running of its kind in the UK, and receives entries from organisations across the globe; making it one of the most sought-after health and safety achievements worldwide.

Our Fleet Safety Gold Award recognises the hard work we do to maintain the highest standards of safety, sustainability and vehicle maintenance across our fleet, preserving operational best practice. Delivering our projects safely and efficiently requires a slick logistics operation to ensure we have the right pieces of kit on site, on time and exactly where they need to be.

Organisations like ours who receive a RoSPA Award are classed as world-leaders in health and safety practice. Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants contest to achieve the highest possible accolade, in what is the UK’s longest-running health and safety industry awards.

Speaking of our recognition, Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director, said: “This is a fantastic and well-deserved accomplishment. All our award entrants demonstrate their unwavering commitment and passion for keeping people safe at work.

“By receiving this recognition, Millcroft join like-minded businesses and organisations worldwide, who represent the very best in their approach to health and safety. I would like to add my personal thanks for all the work that it has taken to secure this well-deserved award – congratulations to all those involved, who champion and drive-up health and safety standards every day. You are a fantastic example to others in your sector.”

Managing Director at Millcroft, Billy Jones, added: “We are really proud to be recognised once again for commitment to safety and sustainability across our fleet. We are a FORS Gold certified and ULEZ-compliant fleet operator, and we’re taking on increasingly large and complex projects, such as our work with HS2 and Thames Water. As part of our ongoing commitment to RoSPA, and our other accreditations, we continue to work hard to maintain service levels as the business grows. We invest in our capabilities across all operational functions, such as adding three new pick-ups and two new drivers to our fleet; demonstrating our focus on aligning our resources to demand for our services.

“The RoSPA awards are extremely competitive, and cover more than 30 sectors including construction, engineering and manufacturing; so to be recognised as gold standard for our fleet against so much competition is testimony to our impeccable health and safety record. Well done to our entire team!”
