Millcroft receives the prestigious RoSPA President’s Award following 11 consecutive Gold Awards

August 2023

We've been honoured with the internationally acclaimed Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) President's Award for the second year running, for our unwavering commitment to health and safety.

The award follows a streak of 11 consecutive RoSPA Golds and five RoSPA Gold Fleet Awards which demonstrate our exceptional health and safety management. The President’s Award is only presented to organisations which have achieved between 10 and 14 consecutive Gold Awards. At the same time, the Gold Fleet Award recognises the importance we place on good fleet management and show how well we successfully manage occupational road risks.

We work hard to maintain the highest standards across our operations, and that includes our fleet. We have invested in our ULEZ-compliant vehicles to help improve air quality, be environmentally responsible and deliver safe and efficient service for our customers.

The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards is the UK's largest occupational health and safety awards programme. Now in its 67th year, the Awards have 2,000 entrants from around 50 countries working towards the RoSPA accolade. The programme recognises organisations’ commitment to continuous improvement in preventing accidents and ill health at work, looking at entrants' overarching health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Julia Small, RoSPA's Achievements Director, said "Accidents at work and work-related ill health don't just have huge financial implications or cause major disruption – they significantly impact an individual's quality of life. That's why good safety performance deserves to be recognised and rewarded.

"We are thrilled that Millcroft has won this RoSPA Award and would like to congratulate them on showing an unwavering commitment to keeping their employees, clients and customers safe from accidental harm and injury."

Millcroft MD, Billy Jones, added, "This is a great achievement by all our team and testament to our unwavering commitment to health and safety, as well as our investment in our people and operations. Receiving our 11th Gold and the President's Award for the second time this year acknowledges all team members' contribution in ensuring we maintain the highest levels of safety and wellbeing throughout our company.

"Everyone deserves to go home safe at the end of the day and we will continue to set an exemplary standard for our industry in health and safety best practices."
