The Project
20 Old Bailey is an office building directly opposite The Central Criminal Court of England and Wales. The building has undergone a £54 million upgrade and refurbishment project, delivered by main contractor, ISG, to provide 240,000 sq ft of high specification Cat A office accommodation.
Millcroft was awarded the contract to provide access and support solutions following a competitive tender process.
The Solution from Millcroft
With such a prestigious and sensitive location, the challenges faced were many and varied; in particular the minimal footprint of the site demanded careful logistical management by the Millcroft team. The site is bordered on all four sides by pavements, roads and office entrances and safe access needed to be maintained for pedestrians, vehicles and TV crews reporting on events at The Old Bailey.
