The Leadenhall Building is a 51 storey tower located in the heart of the City of London. It provides space of the very highest quality for commercial office, retail and restaurant, together with two levels of trading floors and a high quality public realm at Ground level. Millcroft was contracted by both façade contractor Yuanda and structural steel company Severfield to provide access scaffolding on the project. For Yuanda we provided access at a critical phase of the façade installation where access to the lower part of the building was restricted. Scaffolding provided support while the glazing panels were lifted into place. A particular challenge for our engineers was to design a structural solution to span 10m between the columns. During construction of the complex steel ladder frame, Millcroft were commissioned by Severfield to provide access scaffolding up to 50m in height while the steel structure was bolted and welded together.

Millcroft’s commitment to safety and their proactive approach to driving a fully motivated safety culture among their staff and operatives is first class.
